I was browsing through my cocktail recipes and realized... It's time for some warm drinks. Enough of those cold cocktails. It's cold at night! I want to be warmed up from the inside.
Enter apple cider. And whiskey. I know a lot of you aren't whiskey fans -- but -- the whiskey works so perfectly with the apple cider. It's like they are playing together. So my challenge is this: just try it.
Ingredients:
- 1 shot Whiskey
- 1 shot Water
- 3 shots Apple Cider
- 1/2 teaspoon Honey
- 2 shakes Ground Cinnamon
- 2 shakes Ground Cloves
Advice: Pair this with Pumpkin Curry Soup for some real heat or Pine Nut Sage Risotto to class it up!
I'm making toasting cider for a fall wedding - would this recipe also work served at room temp? Also is it cloudy? I was going to use fireball whiskey in lue of whisky and cinnamon sticks....

DeleteYep, it works at any temperature! I'd give it a stir before serving if it's been sitting for a while, just because apple cider in general has a tendency to settle a bit, but that would probably happen with any apple cider recipe! That sounds like such a creative fall wedding idea! If you end up doing it, I'd love to see a pic! :)

Hi, this sounds great! Do you have any recommendations for a whiskey that works well with this?
