On Wednesday night, I gathered with a few local Chicago food bloggers at Boka. We met with a few wonderful chicks from Chobani for a ridiculously creative feast of dishes using Chobani.
Don't worry, I'll tell you about the food. But first, let me demonstrate how much fun we had via images (because a picture speaks a thousand words, right?).
And now... the feast! Boka's chef prepared a delicious four course meal, using Chobani in every dish (not to mention the appetizers, like compressed cucumber with Chobani sauce and smoked salmon rolls, too!).
First up was Hay Roasted Baby Beets, Blueberries, Chobani Greek Yogurt, Fir Tree Honey, and Pepper Wheat Crackers. It was a wonderful combination of sweet and sour, and the Chobani yogurt sauce is perfect with the fruits and roasted beets.
Next was Soft Shell Crab, Grilled Prawns, Chobani Greek Yogurt Grits, Morel Mushrooms, Beet Braised Kohlrabi, and Mache. The Chobani Greek Yogurt Grits, in particular, were to die for. I'll definitely be experimenting on creating my own soon!
The third course was Lamb Rack, Rooibos, Bulgur Wheat, Roasted Baby Vegetables, Purple Fingerling Potatoes, Fava Beans, Roasted Eggplant, and Chobani Greek Yogurt Sauce. As someone who hasn't had much lamb in life, this plate totally surprised me in its goodness. Unfortunately, with the light dying, this shot is slightly blurry. Apologies. Don't cry!
Finally, the fourth course... dessert. Chobani Greek Yogurt Panna Cotta, Plums, and Honey. Mmmm, good! The Panna Cotta was perfectly scrumptious and the thinly sliced plumbs were a perfect combination.
Having met so many awesome Chicago bloggers throughout the night, you can bet you'll be hearing a bit more about them as time goes on! I'd love to be able to have some get togethers and share tips and tricks.
Until then, here's my question... What's your favorite dish you've ever tried Chobani in?
AH I had SO much fun meeting you last night! I look so in love in all these pictures, which is accurate because I fell in love with everyone last night.
