Do I like real life birds? Eh. Not particularly. I can take them or leave them.
Do I like cutting birds out of magazines? You betcha.
My dad purchased a canvas years ago and never used it. So recently, on a whim, I decided to rescue it from project purgatory - how nice of me! Also, hello -- free canvas? Yes please. But whatsagirltado with a blank canvas? In this case, my answer began when a little birdy whispered in my ear (see what I did there?). Suddenly I was cutting bird shapes out of magazines...
But I wanted more color. Maybe I should have stopped there (I almost like it more in this simple form) but I was on a roll and simply could. not. stop. So I taped up the canvas with random intersecting lines using painter's tape, found some acrylic paint, and went at the canvas with a sponge.
