More Halloween goodness! This 'appetizer' is an easy finger food that looks Halloween-appropriate but is a fast and easy creation. I've also included directions for plating appetizers or desserts on a chocolate web, which is created by piping a web-like design onto parchment paper. These can be used together... or separately! Maybe double up the webby goodness by putting these web cookies on a web platter?!
Ingredients for appetizer:Green grapes (20-30)
- White Almond Bark (1/4 package per 20 grapes)
- Toothpicks
- (1 teaspoon vegetable oil)
Directions (appetizer):Pull green grapes from the vine and dry them.
- Melt white almond bark and stir until smooth. Add 1 teaspoon of vegetable/canola oil to thin the mixture.
- Using toothpicks, coat most of each grape in white almond bark, leaving just enough grape showing to look like a person's iris.
- Place on parchment paper to dry.
Ingredients for plating:Parchment paper
- 1/2 cup Chocolate chips
- Plastic parchment bag
- (1 teaspoon vegetable oil)
Directions (plating):Cut a piece of parchment paper to fit on the bottom of your serving platter.
- Melt chocolate in a bowl and stir until smooth. Add 1 teaspoon of vegetable/canola oil to thin. It is important to smooth out all chunks, otherwise the piping bag will get clogged.
- Pour chocolate into plastic piping bag. Cut off a cm or two and test the width of how much comes out. Continue to cut if you'd like a thicker line.
- To create a web design, begin by making an overlapping "x" and "+," creating what will look somewhat like an asterisk. Then, beginning at the center, spiral out by connecting each line.
- Put in the fridge for 1 hour to harden. Then add your food.

Wow that is such a great idea and they look delicious! Happy Halloween!
